The English courses for pre-adolescents and adolescents are designed taking into
account the students' interests and preferences so that they feel involved in a
constant linguistic and intellectual challenge. The activities introduced and the
materials used in class reflect the reality of the world where they interact
enthusiastically and creatively.
In two 90-minute lessons per week, students develop the four abilities
(listening, speaking, reading and writing) through a communicative approach
The teacher not only monitors the students' individual progress but also motivates
them to be responsible for their own learning.
Regular classes are combined with interactive whiteboard and internet based
The students' progress is controlled through constant monitoring in class as
well as through monthly tests designed by the area vice-director.
The main aim of these courses is to provide students with a sound preparation which will eventually allow them to pass Trinity College exams and enrol for Cambridge University international examinations
